An entry in the Steam database has already revealed: The PC version of Red Dead Redemption 1 will soon be landing on Steam. Only the question of when is still open.

It’s no secret that Red Dead Redemption is coming to PC Over the course of the year, several leaks have already appeared on Sony and Rockastar itself, among others, confirming the existence of a PC version and hinting at its imminent release.

No date, but an entry on Steam

While there is no specific date for this yet, At least there is now a clear indication as to where the PC version will be available. On September 17, the PC version of Red Dead Redemption was briefly listed on Steam

It seems that with the last update of its Steam data, Rockstar not only announced the release of the long overdue cheat protection BattlEye for GTA Online, but also accidentally included the data for Red Dead Redemption, which was actually scheduled for a later date.

Entry now deleted

This was noticed, among others, by Rockstar expert Tez2, who shared the find on Twitter. After the data leak became known, Rockstar quickly deleted the Steam entry. But as we all know, the internet never forgets.

What do PC gamers get?

According to the entry, the PC version of Red Dead Redemption includes the main game in the Game of the Year edition and the Undead Nightmare zombie add-on.

In terms of technology, all the improvements of the 2023 console version should be included. In addition, the game should offer support for higher resolutions and frame rates on the PC, as well as multi-monitor support. However, you shouldn’t expect any other special PC-exclusive features.

We can already estimate very accurately what to expect with the PC version of Red Dead Redemption. So the only open question is when it will be released Our educated guess is that RDR1 will be released before the end of this year, in time for the Christmas season. From a business point of view, this would make the most sense for Rockstar.

On the other hand, PC gamers have been waiting for a release for their home computers for over 14 years. So we should be able to cope with a few more or a few less months.
