TeamKill Media has been releasing new gameplay footage for Quantum Error over the past few weeks. The latest clip is from Saturday and shows new gameplay footage from the third-person perspective.

Apart from the active PR work on the (Twitter channel) it had become quite quiet around Quantum Error in the last months. However, that has changed in the last three weeks. On the (YouTube channel) three new mini-teasers for the horror shooter have been published. These show gritty gameplay scenes aboard the Monad Quantum Research Facility.

The video released on Saturday also provides some decent action fun and shows gameplay from the third-person perspective. With this, the developers offer an alternative to the FPS gameplay on which the game is based. However, they explain in the video commentary that some gameplay scenes in the first-person perspective will be unavoidable.

Even though the gameplay footage is worth watching, the video still looks a bit jerky and – at least for me – causes some dizziness. Isn’t the third-person perspective supposed to help against motion sickness? Well, maybe that’s what TeamKill Media was aiming for in this very scene. If the developers should release a longer gameplay video, we can get a more accurate picture of Quantum Error.

Quantum Error is being developed using the Unreal Engine 5. However, it is not yet clear when exactly the shooter will be released.
