New year, new games, same console. In a video published yesterday, Sony presented the upcoming games for the PlayStation 5. The release dates of highly anticipated titles are also confirmed

A few days ago, we told you in our release list which confirmed games you can look forward to this year. Yesterday evening, Sony also released a video in which they present the gaming highlights of the coming 12 months on the PlayStation 5

These include titles with a specific release date, such as Tekken 8, Final Fantasy VII Rebirth, Rise of the Ronin and Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth.

On the other hand, the video also confirms the release date of the two highly anticipated blockbusters Metal Gear Solid ∆: Snake Eater and Silent Hill 2
Although it was previously assumed that the two titles would be released later this year, the developers have not yet provided any concrete details. Fans are now all the more excited about the announcements in the YouTube comments

Long-awaited titles

Silent Hill 2 was already announced in October 2022 along with several other franchise projects. Since then, however, new trailers and images have been kept under wraps. Nevertheless, some of the content of the upcoming remake has been revealed. For example, the Pyramid Head is to receive its own origin story. The game will be available for PlayStation 5 and PC (Steam).

The announcement was made during the PlayStation Showcase in May last year. Unfortunately, neither series creator Hideo Kojima nor lead designer Yoji Shinkawa are involved in the remake. Fans were given a last glimpse of the game engine two months ago.
The tactical adventure game will be available for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S and PC (Steam).
