The new life simulation game is launching later this year and has now revealed details about the features you can expect. A preliminary roadmap is also available.

2025 could be a fateful year for The Sims,as it faces competition from two sides. Inzoi was released in early access at the beginning of the year, followed by Paralives in December. But while Inzoi aims to stand out with its extremely realistic look, Paralives goes into greater depth with its details.

Now the team behind Lifesim has finally revealed what content you can expect in Early Accessand which features will be added during this first public test phase. We’ll break it all down for you.

Here’s what’s included in Early Access

The development team has published a kind of roadmap consisting of several images on X. It specifies exactly which features will be available for the EA release on December 8 and which ones will follow at some point.

Unlike other roadmaps, however, the team has not yet provided any specific timings. The features listed there are only scheduled to follow at some point during EA. This could be after a few weeks, but perhaps not for several months. It is still unclear how long Paralives will remain in Early Access. But here are the planned features:

Since these are three rather long lists and they are in English, we have summarized the most important features in German for clarity.

The most important features at launch

  • Open game world
  • Work
  • Life simulation (relationships, aging, having children)
  • Group activities
  • Activities in the city
  • Flexible wall placement (including round walls)
  • Houses with multiple floors
  • Enlarge and reduce objects
  • Body and face customization
  • Tattoos
  • Genetics system

The most important features still to come

  • Weather and seasons
  • Pets
  • Vehicles
  • Pools
  • Social events such as parties and weddings
  • Windows and doors for curved walls
  • Basements
  • Animal generator
  • Multiple outfits

The features mentioned will of course be added completely free of charge as part of Early Access. Overall, however, Paralives prides itself on not outsourcing as much content to paid DLCs after release as The Sims has done with dozens of DLCs.

We will definitely be eagerly following how well Paralives is received by the community from December 8 onwards. We’ve already tried Inzoi and were a little disappointed, as there wasn’t enough content for our taste in Early Access. It remains to be seen whether Paralives will be any different. Which life sim are you looking forward to more?
