A shooter was unveiled at gamescom 2025 that probably flew completely under the radar for many people: Active Matter is the latest game from Warthunder publisher Gaijin Entertainment.

In this tactical shooter, you search for rich loot in a twisted world full of deadly anomalies or fight each other in PvP battles. Visually, the world’s Soviet dreariness is extremely reminiscent of the cult shooter Stalker from Ukrainian studio GSC Game World. You can get an idea of the action-packed firefights for yourself in the trailer.

There is no specific release date yet, but Active Matter is scheduled for release in 2025 – at least according to the shooter’s Steam page. You can already add the game to your wish list there add it to your wish list there.
