Emilio Sakraya has landed a role in the *One Piece* live-action series, and fans can hardly believe it.
“This is *Bibi and Tina*, on Amade…” – Sorry for the catchy tune! Emilio Sakraya rose to fame for his role as Tarik Schmüll in the Bibi and Tina movies. This was followed by numerous appearances in big-screen adventures such as “Rheingold,” “4 Blocks,” and “Die Rettung der uns bekannten Welt.”
Now the 30-year-old actor is actuallyofficially part of the cast of the live-action series One Piece.Alongside him, however, three other cast members were announced for Season 3.
Four New Faces for One Piece Season 3
The third season is nowfinally in the can and it’s time to give fans some new updates. According to Instagram, there are four big announcements:
- Emilio Sakraya plays Koza, the childhood friend of Princess Vivi of Alabasta (Charithra Chandran)
- Omid Abtahi (The Boys, The Mighty Nein) plays Toto, Koza’s father and Goro’s older brother
- Jamie Ward (His Dark Materials, Tyrant) playsPell, one of the two chief guards in the Kingdom of Alabasta who serve under Igaram
- Nabeel Khan (Rogue, Inescapable) playsChaka, the second chief guard
German fans, in particular, are naturally thrilled with the casting.One Piece is a major step for a German actor, as very few manage to break into major international productions.In 2020, he appeared in the fantasy seriesWarrior Nunalongside Alba Baptista, which ended on Netflix after its second season.
Two years ago, he also appeared in Roland Emmerich’s Prime Video seriesThose About to Diealongside Anthony Hopkins (Thor, King Lear) and Dimitri Leonidas (Masters of the Air, Foundation).
In the comments below theInstagram post, fans can hardly believe the news andare thrilled for Sakraya.Others, however, now fear that he is no longer in the running for the role of Xaden Riorson in the *Fourth Wing* adaptation.
Yet the actor is an absolute fan favorite for the role. Amazon currently holds the rights and is working on an adaptation of the popular novel series by author Rebecca Yarros. Here’s a summary of a few comments:

One Piece Season 3 is expected to premiere on Netflix in the summer of 2027. Then we’ll finally get to see Sakraya, Abtahi, Ward, and Khan in action. Until then, we can pass the time with a LEGO version, which will be released on the streaming service on September 29, 2026. Or we can rewatch the first two seasons.
