Who knew Geralt’s mentor Vesemir was once so cool, young and sexy? In the new trailer for the Witcher anime Nightmare of the Wolf, we see the Witcher in his prime – and how he appreciates a good bath decades before his protégé: A new trailer for the anime by studio Mir (The Legend of Korra, Dota: Dragon’s Blood) provides previously unseen glimpses into Vesemir’s life.
Nightmare of the Wolf starts on Netflix on 23 August 2021. Lauren S. Hissrich and Beau DeMayo, who already worked with Henry Cavill as Geralt on the main series, are responsible for the prequel and spin-off to The Witcher. In the anime, Vesemir is voiced by Theo James (Castlevania), while Kim Bodnia takes on the role of the old wizard for season 2 of The Witcher. Nightmare of the Wolf also stars Mary McDonnell as Lady Zerbst, Lara Pulver as Tetra and Graham McTavish as Deglan.
