This week, exciting new releases await you on Steam: medieval strategy, remastered shooters, a highly anticipated racing game, and more.
This week on Steam is all about building, shooting, and spectacular drifting. Whether it’s remastered shooters, colorful life sims, or crazy ideas like a multiplayer game with mosquitoes, there should be something for everyone in the coming days. As we do every Monday, we’ll show you the most exciting new releases on Steam.
Table of Contents
Highlight of the week: Stalker: Shadow of Chornobyl – Enhanced Edition
Genre: Survival shooter – Developer: GSC Game World – Release: May 20 (Steam)
The post-apocalyptic shooter classic from 2007 returns completely revamped – with all the eerie atmosphere of the Chernobyl exclusion zone, but with a new shine.
The Enhanced Edition polishes up Stalker: Shadow of Chornobyl with modern graphics effects: reworked lighting including god rays and global illumination, improved textures, and new shaders make the zone look better than ever. A lot has also been done on the technical side to make the game run smoothly and be compatible with current PCs and consoles.
Particularly pleasing: Those who already own the original will receive the remaster as a free upgrade. In addition to Shadow of Chornobyl, remasters of the sequels Clear Sky and Call of Pripyat are also being released at the same time, so you can now experience the entire legendary Stalker trilogy with convenience features such as free save functionality, modern resolutions, and controller support.
