Building, action, role-playing: This week, Steam is releasing several games that PC gamers have been waiting for a long time.
You’d better not take on too much this week. It’s rare to see so many releases coming out at once that PC gamers have been waiting for months or even years. Your backlog certainly won’t get any shorter afterward, because you can easily spend dozens of hours on some of these titles.
There’s something for just about everyone, from city-building and strategy to action and a major RPG highlight. Like every Monday, we’ve rounded up all the important Steam releases for you!
The Highlight of the Week: Transport Fever 3
Genre: Economic Simulation- Developer: Urban Games- Release Date: September 29, 2026 (Steam)
With Transport Fever 3, Urban Games from Schaffhausen, Switzerland, continues the acclaimed building/economic simulation series that began in 2014 with Train Fever.
The basic premise remains largely the same: You build transportation networks, starting with horse-drawn carts, steam locomotives, and paddle steamers, and work your way up to jet planes, supertankers, and high-speed trains. Every delivery brings in money, every vehicle costs money to maintain, and cities only grow if your lines serve them effectively. Over 275 vehicles spread across four climate zones, including a new subarctic region, plus day-night cycles and dynamic weather.
Under the hood, Urban Games has focused primarily on refining the logistics: The freight simulation has been rebuilt; you have more precise control over what is loaded and unloaded where, and you can temporarily store goods in warehouses and special terminals. More than 35 industries are waiting to be connected, including offshore operations such as fishing grounds and oil rigs.
A campaign featuring missions based on real historical events, a sandbox mode with no economy, a map editor, and mod support should keep you busy for many hours — because the game has turned out really well, as you can read in our review here:

- Drop Command: You control mechs, tanks, infantry, and fighter jets yourself or command entire battalions through a procedural sandbox campaign. The whole experience is reminiscent of the mech games of the ’90s, complete with pilot upgrades, diplomacy with planetary governments, and rivals who go on to found their own empires as the campaign progresses.
- Antivirus Survivors 2003 Professional: The family PC is infected again, so in this Vampire Survivors clone, you’ll blast your way through viruses, adware, and pop-ups using weapons like Solitaire, Pinball, and Firewall.

- The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt – Remastered (Free Upgrade): A classic RPG with a fresh new look: CD Projekt Red is bringing the 2015 open-world RPG up to date with a remaster, enhancing not only the graphics but also combat, climbing, horseback riding, and monster behavior, along with a new skill tree and transmog. Following the 2022 next-gen update, the studio is taking a major approach to the game for the second time; owners will receive the upgrade—including both expansions—for free.
- Minecraft Dungeons II: Mojang and Double Eleven send you—alone or with up to three other players—to face a new threat that plunges two worlds into chaos. Instead of selecting missions from a map screen like in the 2020 predecessor, this time you’ll explore a connected world.
- Nivalis Nights: You start with a noodle stand in the neon city of Nivalis and work your way up to restaurants and nightclubs, all while fishing, decorating, playing chess, and flirting. Anyone who sabotages the competition at night during curfew should expect the same to happen to them.
- TOEM 2: In this cozy photo adventure, you’ll once again set out with your camera, solve puzzles by taking snapshots, help quirky characters, and collect stamps that unlock new regions. New features compared to the acclaimed 2021 predecessor include camera attachments that let you overcome obstacles.
- Tempest Rising: The Veti’s Wrath (Expansion): Inspired by Command & Conquer, Tempest Rising introduces the Veti as its third playable faction, complete with its own campaign featuring eleven missions. All owners of the base game can play as the Veti in multiplayer and skirmish modes via a free update; you only have to pay for the story.
- American Truck Simulator – Road Trip: Ford (Expansion): With the first Road Trip pack, you’ll switch from trucks to cars and pickup trucks in American Truck Simulator—specifically, a ’67 Mustang, an F-150, a Bronco, and a Crown Victoria. The DLC unlocks the new Road Trip mode, where you can complete small delivery jobs, repaint your vehicles, and explore the U.S. on your own.

- Songs of Glimmerwick: In this cozy role-playing game, you attend a magic university where every spell is a song, and using a flute and a songbook, you make trees talk, tools work on their own, and the university garden bloom.
- Crusader Kings III: By God Alone (Expansion): By God Alone makes theocracies playable, so you rule as an archbishop or even as the Pope and appoint cardinals throughout Christendom. In addition, there are heresies, councils on matters of faith, and—in the 867 starting scenario—the potential Great Schism between the Western and Eastern Churches.
- RADIOSOL: You roam a world scorched by a planetary catastrophe, full of megastructures and abandoned cities, while dodging the scorching rays of the sun. The cryptic Steam page doesn’t reveal much more than that.

- RetroSpace: As a humble janitor, you’re stuck on the Aurora 5 space station, which has been swallowed by a black hole and is constantly jumping between two time planes. Sneak, hack, set traps—every problem has multiple solutions, and if you die, you’ll come back as a slightly degenerate clone.
- Dynasty Warriors 3: Complete Edition Remastered: Koei Tecmo is re-releasing the 2001 classic—along with the Xtreme Legends expansion—in Unreal Engine 5, featuring over 40 officers, two-player co-op, and the familiar “one against a thousand” battles.
- MXGP 26 – The Official Game: The official game based on the FIM Motocross World Championship is switching to Unreal Engine 5 and will feature completely new riding physics.

- Ace Combat 8: Wings of Theve: Seven years after Ace Combat 7, the series returns to its fantasy world of Strangereal, this time with an aircraft carrier as its home base. Also new is Ace Combat Online, featuring cross-play, co-op missions, and a walkable airbase for up to 100 players.
- Intravenous 3: Borderline: The free, standalone prologue to Intravenous 3 sends you, as mercenary Gideon, on a bloody quest for revenge across two missions. Whether you sneak silently through the shadows or bathe everything in lead, is up to you—and Borderline already showcases the enhanced stealth systems and expanded weapon customization of the upcoming main game. The author of this article highly recommends the first two installments!
- Bering Tonnage: In line with the highlight, you’ll build a shipping company here that transports cargo between 295 real-world ports, including through the Suez and Panama Canals. But be careful—typhoons, strikes, sanctions, and frozen ports can throw your schedules into disarray.
