Frontier is currently causing its fans to cheer with excitement with a new feature. This is also because it reminds them of a classic building game from 20 years ago.
It’s rare for a fan community to be as unanimous about something as they are right now about Jurassic World Evolution 3. On October 8, a new feature for the building game was introduced, and it has created an almost euphoric atmosphere. nbsp;On Reddit, fans are exchanging ideas and, without exception, offering words of praise.
What has the community in such a celebratory mood? The new island generator! In the next installment, you’ll be able to create your own tropical island before starting the game, where you can then bring the dinosaur park of your dreams to life. This is exactly what fans of the series have been waiting for since the release of the first installment seven years ago.

Your own dino island
In previous games, the pre-designed island maps were always a point of contention among the community. Although there were a sufficient number of them, players were very dependent on the shape of the islands, and over time, a certain amount of wear and tear crept in. The size of the islands was also a recurring point of contention in Jurassic World.
The new island generator gives fans a little more control over which island their parks are built on, adding more variety to the game. It also allows the entire island to become a park, rather than just part of it.
However, the generator is not an infinitely powerful tool, and it is certainly not a map editor. Basically, you choose from a handful of sliders to determine how the islands are composed:
- Shape: The shape determines the basic dimensions of the island – it can also be broken up into several small islands.
- Trees: This determines how many trees grow on the island.
- Water: This determines the water level and how many lakes the island has.
- Mountains: How many mountains are there on the island, and how high are they?
Each of the numerous island combinations is given a DNA code, which you can then share with your friends and the community when you have created an island that you think is particularly great.
In addition to the islands you create, there are also pre-made ones. This is particularly useful because the generator is only designed to work with tropical islands. Other biomes are available on the pre-made islands.
Fans are delighted
The feature is causing quite a stir on Reddit. Many, many fans are reporting here that this is exactly the feature they were hoping for. Here are a few excerpts:
- “Damn, you actually did it.” – Patch418
- “I’m crying a little right now.” – Spiritual_Savings922
- “I’ve been praying for moments like this.” – Clane_21
- “I dreamed about it, but never believed it would happen!” – LivinginanAnxiety
Many content creators are also very happy with the feature. Overall, Jurassic World 3 seems to be a blessing for everyone who values creative control in their parks. This is an area where Frontier’s dinosaur spin-offs have traditionally fallen short compared to games like Planet Zoo or Planet Coaster.
For long-time fans, the generator is reminiscent of Jurassic Park: Operation Genesis, which had an almost identical feature. The building game was released in 2003 and still has many fans who have been longing for this feature for a long time.
It won’t be long until Jurassic World Evolution 3 is released. The building game will be released on October 21. Then we’ll be able to try out in detail whether the island generator lives up to the hype.
