The course is set – and it leads into the 19th century
A newstrategy project is causing a stir:Gilded Destinyputs players in the middle of the emerging Industrial Revolution. Where there used to be farms, factories are being built, rail lines criss-cross the landscape and the world order changes with every train that is moved. On a world map with over a million fields – modeled on real biomes– players control nations such as France, Prussia or the United Kingdom.

The focus is on more than just expanding power. Rather, production chains must be built, transport networks planned and social reforms implemented – from labor laws to healthcare. If you don’t act with foresight politically and economically, you’ll quickly lose touchIt’s the mix ofcity building, diplomacy and industrial management that makes the game so appealing to genre fans.
Ban noticeable: Why this strategy game ticks differently to other supermarkets
WithGilded Destinythe strategy scene not only gets a profound game – but also a strong partner. Because withHooded Horsethe publisher of thesurprise hitManor Lordsis now taking over the marketing and community work for the new title. The partnership with developer Aquila Interactive promises reach, resources and experience. And in a genre that often remains niche, that is a real promise of quality.

The game is currently in an early alpha version      and the first test access is only available to supporters of the Kickstarter and Modian campaigns   so if you want to get in on the action now, you have to get access via these platforms. There is no release date yet, butGilded Destinyis still scheduled for release in 2025.
A small but significant difference to other representatives of the genre: the game is deliberately foregoing a broad beta phase – at least for the time being. An unusual step, but one that shows how closely the community is involved and how feedback is to be channeled in a targeted manner. So anyone hoping for a new strategy gem with depth should keep this title on their radar right now.
