As every weekend, there are again free games for you. This time there are only three of them, but they are all worth a look.
Hallelujah, finally the weekend! If that’s not reason enough to be happy, you’ll be glad you read this article – because this time there are three free games on Steam and Epic. And they’re all really good! As always, you can keep some of the games for free forever, others can only be played for free for a few days.
Highlight of the week: Chivalry 2
(Genre: Action – Developer: Torn Banner Studios – Release: June 8, 2021 – Free to play until: March 21, 3 pm)
Chivalry 2 has been flying a little under the radar since its release in June 2021. The medieval brawl with knights and foot-servants is only available exclusively on the Epic Store. And that’s where you can try out the really fun multiplayer spectacle for free until Monday.
If you’ve never heard of Chivalry 2: In this multiplayer action game you fight in huge and extremely chaotic medieval battles. You can also try your hand as a bowman or crossbowman, but you’ll have the most fun in close combat.
The quite tactical combat system works according to the well-known principle easy to learn, hard to master: Of course, you can also make one or two enemies shorter by swinging your battle axe wildly around. But real professionals rely on targeted blows, countering and parrying their opponents’ attacks and dodging with perfect timing.
However, medieval fans should not expect too much realism from Chivalry 2, because the focus here is definitely on entertaining fun. Player characters roar their battle cries across the battlefield, limbs fly through the air and occasionally the opponents hit each other on the knight’s turnip with fish and other food.
How to get Chivalry 2: Simply visit the (Shop page) of Chivalry 2 in the Epic Games Store and buy the “Chivalry 2 – Free Trial Weekend” edition there.
Even if blood and murders are in the foreground: With the right mindset, Chivalry 2 can even become a really good role-playing game.
Other free games
Rainbow Six Siege: Once again you can play the multiplayer shooter Rainbow Six for free on the Ubisoft platform Connect or in the Epic Games Store. The game is much more tactical than Chivalry 2: In five-on-five matches, you have to free hostages, plant bombs or simply take out the entire enemy team. Targeted destruction of walls on the numerous maps provides many options for the approach.

In Sound Mind: A real horror secret tip with an exciting idea: in each new section you can expect not only a new story, but also its own game mechanics. If you don’t feel like being spooked just before the start of spring, you can wait until Halloween to play In Sound Mind – you can save it for the long term.
