With great attention to detail, a fan has designed an entire concept for what The Elder Scrolls 6 could look like. Including gameplay mechanics, user interface, and much more.

Seven long years have passed since Bethesda released a short teaser for The Elder Scrolls 6. Instead of waiting patiently, a fan rolled up their sleeves and designed a Skyrim sequel themselves – complete with armor designs, user interface, and dozens of pages of in-depth gameplay information.

The whole thing goes by the name The Elder Scrolls 6 – Nightwield, which user Corviak introduced via a Reddit post. After a few years in the oven, I’m finally done with my Nightwield project.

According to him, everything in it is his own work, with the exception of the text design from The Elder Scrolls 6 and the weapon materials.

What exactly is in it?

Corviak hasn’t developed a game, but rather created a draft. Nightwield is therefore a mockup, an idea of what a sixth Elder Scrolls game could be like. To do this, he read through fans’ wishes over the years and summarized his own ideas to create a basic concept.

Everyone can now view these detailed plans. He has listed all his thoughts in a Google Docs document and presented several gameplay mechanics in depth The level system, skills, combat, stealth mechanics, factions, vampirism, and many other topics are covered.

For example, players in Nightwield can also join aggressive factions of bandits and the like – this option is not available in Oblivion and Skyrim.

Corviak has also grabbed a paintbrush and created some “screenshots.” In addition to the main menu, you can see a combat sequence, armor pieces, and various menus such as inventory and skill point distribution.

The community is impressed

Other users are impressed by all the work, even if not all decisions are popular.

GoldenNat20, miekbrzy92 and many others in the comments are particularly impressed by the Khajiit armor. Royal_Ad_117 even writes: You should apply for a position at Bethesda if there’s an opening.

For MAJ_Starman, the graphic style is too similar to Dragon Age: The Veilguard, and cremefresher also criticizes the comic-like appearance. On the other hand, PromotionNo6937 likes the colorful user interface.

Particularly detailed feedback comes from ffylgijaear, who goes into detail about the gameplay information. For example, he writes about guild management: “I love it and wish it were real.” Nightwield would play in Hammerfall and High Rock – the same areas that will probably be explored in the real Elder Scrolls 6. Hammerfall, home of the Rothwardons, was also the setting for The Elder Scrolls 2: Daggerfall. Bethesda has already dropped a few hints about this. You can find more information and other Elder Scrolls topics in the news above.
