The second season of Fallout is fast approaching. Now there are new photos from the upcoming episodes, and we’ve taken a closer look.
Season 2 of Fallout will premiere on Amazon Prime Video in December 2025, and slowly but surely, the marketing machine is getting into gear. Following a first poster, seven new images have now been released, and a trailer is likely not far behind.
But first things first. The seven images from Fallout: Season 2 actually contain a lot of story tidbits.

What the new images reveal about the story of Fallout: Season 2?
We put our heads together for a few minutes and would like to share the following observations and speculations with you:
- Maximus (Aaron Moten) is back at the Steel Brotherhood’s base, where a bunch of old relics are hoarded. However, these don’t seem to be of a technological nature; instead, we see a few Egyptian or Greek statues.
- Speaking of Maximus: The good guy is wearing a pretty snazzy uniform. After his victory over Moldaver’s (Sarita Choudhury) NCR splinter group, he may have been promoted. Does this mean Maximus can now call himself a Knight of the Brotherhood of Steel?
- More from before the war: Cooper Howard (Walton Goggins) is back and looking pretty fresh and ghoul-free in two pictures. That means we’ll be seeing more of the pre-nuclear war world of Fallout. Not only that, but Coop is obviously in New Vegas. Will he even meet a young Mr. House here?
- Hank MacLean (Kyle MacLachlan) doesn’t look quite as windswept as he did in the season one finale. Quite the opposite: Lucy’s dad is freshly showered and dressed in a smart suit, with his Pip-Boy on his wrist. It could be a flashback, of course, but Kyle MacLachlan doesn’t look like he’s been digitally rejuvenated here. Maybe he was welcomed to New Vegas by Mr. House?
- Norm (Moises Arias) is back! He stands before the residents of Vault 31 looking fiercely determined. This implies that Lucy’s brother didn’t end up in a cold storage chamber after all and – contrary to the fears of many fans – may not have had to sit out a season. Will Norm be able to motivate his Vault mates to start a revolution?
When will the first trailer finally be released? Probably at gamescom Opening Night Live. Presenter Geoff Keighley has already promised news about Fallout: Season 2. It starts on August 19 at 8 p.m. German time (we’ll be there too, of course), so keep your eyes peeled!

And who knows: maybe we’ll get a specific release date for the new episodes. So far, all we know is that the second season of Fallout is set to hit Amazon Prime Video sometime in December 2025.
