Fallout 76 starts its 19th season in December 2024 and lets you keep pets for the first time. The first content for Season 20 was also shown.
When & Fallout 76 & released in 2018, the feedback was devastating from all sides. Bugs, performance issues, and a lack of content marred the release. But over the years, the game has developed into a really decent MMORPG that regularly breaks the 10,000 player mark on Steam, and not just since the hype surrounding the Fallout series.
So it’s no wonder that the developers don’t even think about quitting and want to continue providing the game with new content next year. With The Scientific Forge
, Bethesda has now announced the 19th season, which will run for the next three months.
The new season at a glance
When does Season 19 start? On December 3, 2024 you can download the new content. It will end on March 6, 2025.
In Season 19, you can look forward to a lot of new content, most of it small. You can see an overview of the most important ones here:
Pets: You can keep furry friends in your camps. To get started, you can choose between a Bombay cat and a white German Shepherd.
New Raid: In the Gleaming Depths, you will face the most powerful boss in Fallout 76 to date. As a reward, you will receive a new legendary 4-star armor. This introduces a new rank that is set to transform the endgame.
New Weapon: The Tesla Cannon gives you access to new shoulder-fired destruction. And despite what the name suggests, it doesn’t fire electric cars. Instead, in reference to Croatian scientist Nikola Tesla, the weapon throws powerful bolts of lightning that effortlessly fry your opponents.
New Events: As usual, you can look forward to events at regular intervals that give you more gold or double mutation, for example. From December 17, 2024 to January 2, 2025, there will also be a Christmas event where you will encounter seasonal opponents and rewards.
Finally play as a ghoul
When does Season 20 start?The start is theMarch 6, 2025 It is not yet known when the season will end. However, it will probably be at the beginning of June 2025.
As you may have already seen in one of the images above, a very special update is waiting for you in March 2025. Finally, players canslip into the role of a ghoul To do so, however, they must first reach level 50 and complete a corresponding quest. When we first tested Fallout 76, it scored just 60 points. It’s hard to believe, but back then the game didn’t even have any NPCs! These were then added in 2020 with the Wastelanders expansion. We gave the MMORPG another chance and actually awarded a rating increase to 68 points.
