Doom Eternal gets surprising new single player content, but there are consequences

id Software has announced that single players can look forward to new content for Doom Eternal. However, there is bad news about the planned Invasion mode.

id Software has decided to shape the future of Doom Eternal differently.

In an open letter to the fans, the developers of id Software have commented on the future of Doom Eternal. This is because the ongoing pandemic has also thrown the plans for the shooter into a bit of disarray.

The bad news right at the beginning: the Invasion mode, which many players have been eagerly awaiting, will not be released for the time being. However, since they don’t want to leave the fans empty-handed, they have come up with something else.
