The next DLC for Crusader Kings 3 is waiting in the wings: Tours and Tournaments is the next big expansion for the strategy title, which will be released in spring 2023. We collect all the important information for you and what is known so far about the release, the price and the features of the expansion.

All info on the new Crusader Kings 3 DLC

Release: When will Tours and Tournaments be released?

Tours and Tournaments is scheduled to be released as an expansion for Crusader Kings 3 in spring 2023 . Paradox has not yet given a concrete release date. We will of course keep you up to date and let you know as soon as we know a final launch date for the DLC.

Price: How much does Tours and Tournaments cost?

Good question, Paradox has not provided an answer to this at this time yet. Previous expansions for Crusader Kings 3 varied in price: Royal Court for example, cost 30 Euros, Northern Lords and Fate of Iberia were available for less at 13 Euros each.

With regards to Tours and Tournaments, fans will have to be a little patient until Paradox announces the final price for the expansion.

Features: What does Tours and Tournaments offer?

As the name might suggest, the Crusader Kings 3 DLC is primarily about royal journeys through the country and organising tournaments in which your knights and vassals can compete against each other. Specifically, the following features await players who purchase Tours and Tournaments:

  • Tournaments: Hosting large tournaments that attract nobles and knights to improve social standing or flex military muscle.
  • Travel: Organising great journeys, whereby we can get on the nerves of our vassals and make them happy with our goodwill or higher taxes.
  • Weddings: Hosting big (and expensive) weddings that are more about politics and less about love.
  • The new travel system: To arrive at the respective events, Tours and Tournaments wants to offer different possibilities: Perform with a large entourage or in a small circle? Use the safe roads or try your luck with shortcuts through gloomy forests?
  • Chivalry Awards: Additional awards motivate your following and each bring their own bonuses.
  • New Armour Designs
  • New clothing

By the way, you can find the official screenshots of Tours and Tournaments in the following gallery:

By the way: Tours and Tournaments will definitely be a paid DLC. However, a free update for Crusader Kings is also planned in parallel with the release, which will include the following features and improvements:

  • a new activities menu for pilgrimages, feasts and hunts
  • more complex management of regency relationships
  • changes for vassal relations and management of domains.

What do you think of the new DLC announcement for Crusader Kings 3? What are your hopes and expectations for Tours and Tournaments? Let us know in the comments!
