Black Myth Wukong: One of the most requested role-playing games on Steam announces release date

After years of waiting, the beautiful action role-playing game finally has a concrete release date

each trailer for Black Myth: Wukongis more beautiful than the last, but the one from the Game Awards 2023 should please many of you the most – because it finally reveals when the action role-playing game with the impressive graphics will be released.

Black Myth: Wukong will be released in summer 2024

Game Science, the Chinese development studio behind Black Myth: Wukong, has announced that you can finally immerse yourself in the graphically opulent fantasy adventure from August 20, 2024 

But the trailer shows much more than just the release date: You can see lots of new characters, enemies and areas, all of which are impressive thanks to Unreal Engine 5. The ominous creatures, which are shown in the video in a mixture of gameplay and in-game cutscenes, are elaborately designed and the opulent environments are also impressive

Black Myth is loosely based on the plot of the 16th century Chinese fantasy novel The Journey to the West on which the manga Dragon Ball and the game Enslaved: Odyssey to the West are also based.

You take on the role of Monkey King Sun Wukong, who takes on the best of Chinese mythology in order to uncover the truth behind a glorious legend of the past, as the developers write on (Steam

In terms of gameplay, everything points to a mixture of Souls-like and action-adventure à la God of War, with well-timed blocking, dodging and counterattacking playing an important role in the battles.
