Happy birthday, happy birthday, happy birthday, …
The publisher Slitherine is celebrating its 25th anniversary. To celebrate, we’re not only serenading you with a song, but also offering discounts and even a game gift for you from July 10, 2025.
To mark the celebrations, a big publisher sale is currently taking place on Steam for the numerous strategy titles from Slitherine. On top of that, a tactical pearl is being brought to the fans for free with Battlestar Galactica Deadlock . There is one catch, but it’s really only a very small one.
What’s on sale?
First, let’s take a look at the strategy sale on Steam. It runs from July 10 to 17, 2025. A look at the reduced titles reveals discounts of up to 80 percent, including on the following games:
- Terminator: Dark Fate – Defiance
- Starship Troopers: Terran Command
- Panzer Corps 2
- Warhammer 40,000: Gladius – Relics of War
- Field of Glory 2
There are many more offers. It’s best to browse through the publisher catalog from Slitherine on Steam.
What is Battlestar Galactica Deadlock good for?
Battlestar Galactica Deadlock is a strategy game with a large tactical component. You must explore the vast universe, expand your sphere of influence, amass resources and riches and finish off your enemies. Battles take place in real time, but can be paused at any time.
You will take control of the mobile ship Daidalos and expand the colonial fleet from there to put an end to the Cylon threat. The title is therefore set in the First Cylon War.
Those familiar with the series will feel right at home here. Many different ship types, from the Manticore corvette to the Jupiter Battlestar, and familiar characters create a dense atmosphere.
And now what about that little catch you mentioned?
Oh yes, good of you to follow up! As usual for the strategy games from Slitherine, Battlestar Galactica Deadlock also comes with lots of additional paid content.
They expand the currently free base game at every turn, but you’ll have to dig deep into your pockets if you want the full content. However, as I said, the catch is small, as the main game already offers enough content for dozens of hours.
