The developers of Arc Raiders have unveiled their roadmap for 2025, which will deliver a new map, new enemies, and events this year with the “North Line” and “Cold Snap” updates.

The new extraction shooter Arc Raiders has barely launched, and the developers at Embark Studios (The Finals) are already following up. Just a few days after the highly successful launch on October 30, 2025, the studio has unveiled its first official roadmap for the rest of the year.

The November Update: “North Line”

The first major update, titled “North Line,” will be released later this month. This package is packed with content designed to directly enhance the gaming experience.

The highlight of the update is the introduction of a brand-new fifth map: Stella Montis. This map will take you to a new area that, according to the developers, will also expand the backstory of the world surrounding the “Rust Belt.”

But the new map isn’t the only place where danger lurks. “North Line” also introduces two new types of ARC enemies that are sure to make life difficult for you:

  • The Matriarch
  • The Shredder

In addition to these major innovations, the update includes new gameplay items (presumably weapons and gadgets), fresh quests, and the launch of a community unlock event where players can work together toward a common goal.

December will be frosty with “Cold Snap”

In keeping with the season, the second update, called “Cold Snap,” will follow in December 2025. As the name suggests, it will be wintery here. The update introduces a new, dynamic map condition: “Snowfall.”

The central component in December is the limited-time event “Flickering Flames.”
Details on exactly what to expect are still pending, but the title suggests a fight for survival in the cold.
For those looking for progression and rewards, “Cold Snap” also brings new content:

  • A new Raider Deck (the Battle Pass system from Arc Raiders)
  • New quests
  • If you have fulfilled all the requirements, you can retire your character via Expedition.

In addition to these two major updates, Embark Studios has assured players that ongoing improvements to the game are a priority. The team is continuously working on quality-of-life improvements, balance adjustments, bug fixes, and new cosmetic items, “Feats,” and “Trials,” which will be added to the game in smaller patches.
