Story: What is the series about?
There’s not too much to find out about the story so far. So far therehas only been a very vague description of the series from Netflix
Assassin’s Creed is an action-packed thriller centered on the secret war between two mysterious factions – one bent on determining the future of humanity through control and manipulation, while the other fights to preserve free will. The series follows its characters through pivotal historical events as they struggle to shape the fate of humanity.
So farthere is only a rumor that the series will be setin Ancient Romeduring the time of Emperor Nero. This corresponds to the years 54 to 68 AD, but none of this has yet been confirmed.
Seasons and continuations: What’s next for the series?
There are no details yet on how many seasons are planned for the series, and the number of episodes is also unknown.
The most common model at Netflix is eight episodes with a running time of 40 to 50 minutes. However, many series also deviate from this.
The series will be part of the games canon. However, as the setting is still a secret, there is no indication as yet as to whether characters from the games will also feature in the Netflix production. However, if the rumor turns out to be true, this could be difficult anyway. The game with the closest chronological proximity is Assassin’s Creed Origins, which takes place a good 100 years earlier.
