In a video diary released today, A Quiet Place: The Road Ahead introduces the protagonist Alex Taylor. Her story and relationship dynamics are the focus of the upcoming horror game from Stormind Games and Saber Interactive. Alex not only fights against the sound-sensitive monsters of the post-apocalyptic world, but also against her personal challenges.

In the narratively dense world of A Quiet Place: The Road Ahead, we enter the oppressive silence of the post-apocalypse, the beginnings of which we experience with the help of flashbacks. In this threatening atmosphere, every sound can have deadly consequences.

That’s why the inventive spirit of our protagonist Alex Taylor is in demand. Although she was enrolled at a music conservatory, she also has a tinkerer’s streak. So she uses simple, collected tools and her strategic know-how to maneuver herself through the ruins of civilization. We’ll explain the important role stealth gameplay plays in the following message.

A fan fest for the A Quiet Place movies

A Quiet Place: The Road Ahead is designed to appeal to fans of the film series and horror games alike. That’s why the title offers intense stealth mechanics that involve staying still, hiding, and outwitting the hostile creatures. In addition, a special mechanic has been developed to integrate Alex’s asthma into the survival elements, adding an extra layer of tension to the game. Similar complications could also be expected with Alex’s pregnancy.

With these elements, The Quiet Place: The Road Ahead aims to thrill fans of the film series with a new story. The horror game is scheduled to be released on October 17, 2024 for PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S. Interested parties can pre-order the title now.
