If you don’t have anything to play this weekend, Steam and Epic are here to help with some free offers.
We’re coming off a really awesome spring for gaming. The beginning of the year saw the release of tons of big titles, such as Kingdom Come 2, Doom: The Dark Ages, and Assassin’s Creed Shadows. And then there was all the completely unexpected stuff! Clair Obscur and Oblivion Remastered were definitely not on most people’s radar.
Of course, it’s quite possible that your wallet is now empty, even if you turn it upside down. But if you still don’t have anything to play this weekend or want to try something new, don’t worry! There are more free offers available now than there have been in over a month.
In total, you can choose from six different games, three of which will even remain in your library forever.
The insider tip of the weekend: House Flipper 2
(Genre: Simulation – Release: 14.12.2023 – Play for free until: May 19, 2025)
k
It’s the weekend and you just want to relax, but suddenly a friend asks if you can help them move or renovate their house. What a nightmare. In House Flipper 2, this terrifying scenario actually turns into an entertaining activity.
The whole game is about buying houses, completely redesigning them by hand, and then selling them again. Alternatively, you can take on smaller jobs, such as cleaning up the living room after a wild LAN party where it’s covered in pizza stains… or something like that.
Knocking down walls, painting walls, rolling out carpets, laying tiles, and lugging furniture around takes on an almost meditative quality in House Flipper 2. It taps into those little synapses in your brain that fire on all cylinders when complete chaos gives way to a new order.
Completely new, by the way, is the big co-op update that brought multiplayer to the game on May 15. So this weekend, you can team up with your friends and help them move! Oh, crap.
More free games this weekend
- Legacy: Steel & Sorcery: This PvPvE role-playing game has been in early access since February and transports the extraction shooter genre into a fantasy world. You choose a class, embark on an adventure, and try to escape with as much loot as possible.

- Foundry: A classic factory and automation game that follows in the footsteps of Factorio and Satisfactory. But there’s also a healthy dose of Minecraft thrown in, as you can break down the entire voxel-based world into its constituent parts and reassemble it to your liking.
- Play for free until: May 19 on Steam
- Nubs! Arena: If you want to completely switch off this weekend and are looking for a colorful distraction full of absurd little moments, you’ll get just that with this cute action brawler, in which you take on up to 20 other cuddly super warriors.
- Collect for free and keep until: May 16 at 3 p.m. on Steam
- Happy Game: The title may sound cute and look that way at first glance with its many smiley faces, but behind it lies a disturbing horror game. You have to help a boy escape from three terrifying nightmares.
- Collect for free and keep until: May 22 at Epic
- Dead Island 2: Probably the biggest title available for free this weekend. An open-world adventure filled with tons of action and even more zombies, in which you and your character with his special abilities take on a veritable army of the undead.
- Collect for free and keep until: May 22 at Epic
This should give you a wide selection of games to choose from that won’t cost you a penny this weekend. But be sure to check how long the offers are valid! Many games are only free for a limited time or are only available for a short time. However, games are often discounted on Steam in general when there is a free weekend.
