In Forza Horizon 5, it’s not just cars that are fast, but also the fast travel. We explain how this works, which house and which bonus boards are important.

In Forza Horizon 5, you can race through a large open world, just like in the predecessors. Thanks to the countless high-horsepower cars, this is quite fast despite the size, but sometimes you need to go a little faster. For this reason, there is also a fast travel function in virtual Mexico.

However, if you think that you can get everywhere by fast travel right from the start, you’ll soon be looking down the tube. Forza Horizon 5 restricts the function at the beginning. We explain to you where you can travel with Fast Travel at the beginning and how you can remove the restrictions.

Forza Horizon 5: Quick Travel Explained

After the first races, you can already fast travel in Forza Horizon 5, but not everywhere. At the beginning, you can only use the game map to fast travel to the festival locations and to your purchased player houses – for credits. The game currency is not particularly scarce, but if you travel permanently from location to location, you are likely to leave some credits behind and will no longer be able to invest them in new cars.

However, there is a way to expand the fast travel and even make it cheaper for you.

Fast travel to any point

As you progress through the game, you can unlock an ability to teleport to absolutely any point in the game world. However, the unlocking is not linked to an event, but to the purchase of a certain house.

This is the Buenas Vistas house in the Baja region. You will find it west of the Horizon Festival near a beach, more precisely at the Dunas Blancas. The house costs a hefty 2 million credits and is therefore by no means cheap – unless you have a free house after pre-ordering the game.

In addition to the beautiful beach view, the Buenas Vistas also offers fast travel, with which you can travel to any street on the map immediately. But beware: this also costs credits, namely 10,000 per fast trip.

Unlock Free Fast Travel

However, there is a way to reduce the costs and even be able to fast travel permanently for free. All you have to do is find and destroy the fast travel bonus boards in Mexico.

So sehen die Schnellreise-Tafeln aus - manche sind besser versteckt als andere, aber allesamt müsst ihr sie umfahren.

There are a total of 50 panels on the map, each of which makes fast travel 200 credits cheaper. However, you must first find them while travelling through Mexico. If you are near a panel, it will be marked on your map with a purple symbol and a lightning bolt and you can start hunting.

As soon as you have destroyed all 50 panels, fast travel is free of charge for you. If you have also unlocked the aforementioned Buenas Vistas house, you can then travel from A to B without any costs.

One question remains at the end: Is fast travel important to you in a racing game like Forza Horizon 5 or do you prefer to drive to all the important points yourself? Feel free to tell us in the comments!
