During the La Liga show David Jackson, vice president of EA Sports FC, presented the first pictures of the FIFA successor. Fans can hope for better gameplay.

No sooner is the FIFA series as we know it history than EA Sports FC (EA FC) really gets going! Just a few days after officially parting ways with the World Football Association, the video game giant is kicking off the promo phase.

During the presentation on the future of the two top Spanish leagues, for which the publisher has acquired the naming rights, David Jackson, Vice-President of EA Sports FC, gave a first glimpse of the upcoming title – and it is a glimpse of great things to come!

FIFA successor EA Sports FC: Will the gameplay be better than ever?

In addition to some examples of the future design package as well as screenshots of well-known La Liga professionals, among others Real Madrid newcomer Jude Bellingham was already shown in the jersey of the royals, especially a graphic of the revised version of Hypermotion caused a stir.

The technology introduced in FIFA 22 received an upgrade in FIFA 23 with Hypermotion 2 and should provide even more realism and authenticity. In EA Sports FC, it now seems to be taken to the next level with Hypermotion V!

There is still confusion within the EA Sports community about the new name, as it remains unclear whether the “V” is simply an abbreviation of the word “Volumetric”, which will be the official name of the successor, or stands for the Roman numeral five, which could mean a major upgrade. Rumour has it that EA has taken a very big step in terms of gameplay.

The vice-president was at least able to name a few key figures. According to Jackson, the technology will use 590 million frames of advanced 11-on-11 game capture, which is 80 times more than the version used in FIFA 23. However, it does not seem to be a new game engine that could replace the frequently criticised Frostbite engine. Nevertheless the revisions raise hopes for a better game feeling.

We will probably get more detailed information about the FIFA successor in the middle of the month. From 13 to 14 July, a press event will take place in Amsterdam with the Virtual Clubhouse, where selected participants will be able to play the game for the first time. In addition, the development team will give a deeper insight into EA FC by means of a presentation.
