The second update for FIFA 22 will follow soon. As always you have to wait for the console version. However, the contents are already fixed.

After four weeks FIFA 22 the second update with adjustments and bug fixes is waiting for us. As always the FIFA community has to be patient for the console version.

Update 2: CPU weakening and gameplay changes

EA Sports published the pitch notes for the second FIFA 22 update. The points were divided into FIFA Ultimate Team, Gameplay, Career Mode, VOLTA FOOTBALL, Pro Clubs and “General, Audio and Visual”. We go into the most important points here.

FIFA Ultimate Team

  • The order of the penalty shooters now depends on the penalty rating. If the rating is the same, the values kicking power and completion decide.
  • After finishing the Champions Finals with enough points for the playoffs, you will now be informed that you can no longer qualify for the event that is still running.

Gameplay

  • CPU defenders are weakened when blocking lobbed passes and crosses. Previously they could stretch far too far.
  • The outside instep trait didn’t work properly.
  • Players should not disappear into thin air after touching the ball.

Career mode

  • News scenes coming to Champions League and Europa League.
  • Some international games didn’t show up on the calendar.
  • During a quick simulation, red and yellow cards were shown in green.

VOLTA FOOTBALL

  • In arcade mode, the time was sometimes displayed incorrectly.
  • The welcome screen appeared longer than usual.
  • When celebrating a goal, players could run through the wall.

Pro Clubs

  • The volume of the audio signal when perk is activated can be adjusted.
  • The menu was sometimes slower than usual.
  • Names were displayed incorrectly in the tactics menu.
