Thanks to a mod collection, vehicles in Night City look incredibly realistic – at first we thought it was a fake video. But it seems to be real

There are countless mods that aim to make game graphics more realistic. But rarely does one succeed as well as in the case of this fan project for Cyberpunk 2077: This makes the cars of Night City look as if they have roared into the role-playing game straight from the real world.

At first glance, we thought it was a fake, but it’s actually a real, installable mod package. Take a look at the video from NextGen Dreams for yourself, preferably in the best possible quality:

What’s behind the ultra-realistic mod?

There are actually several mods that tweak the lighting and richness of detail, you can find a list at the bottom of the article. Of course, you need a powerful computer that can handle it! For example DLSS 3.5 and an Nvidia RTX 4090 are required. Uff.

In addition to the impressive technical improvements of the mods, the video also looks so real because the camera shakes slightly – just as if a real person were holding it in their hand and filming something with it. This “handheld” effect ensures that we perceive what is shown as even more real.

A list of lighting and vehicle mods can be found in the video description. You can download most of them via Nexusmods, we have linked the respective pages for you
