For some time now we have known that Netflix is working together with CD Project Red on their own cyberpunk anime series. Now it has been announced that we will soon see more of Cyberpunk: Edgerunners. In addition to some first images, the American streaming provider announced today that the first new information about the series will be announced at the so-called Geekded Week, which will take place from 6 to 10 June 2022. Perhaps we can also expect a first trailer.

As officially confirmed today, Netflix’s in-house fan and streaming festival, Geeked Week, will feature announcements of new projects and updates on existing ones, as well as fresh info on the Cyberpunk 2077 anime series Edgerunners.

According to official info, Cyberpunk: Edgerunners will be a 10-episode Netflix series about a “street kid” who has to hold his/her own in the highly teched and modern urban juggernaut of Nightcity. So far so familiar, but the style behind it will definitely give us new insights into the world of Cyberpunk 2077 that we haven’t seen before in video games and pen and paper.
