Of the four maps from the open beta, one received almost half of the votes and has another feature that sets it apart from the rest.

Over the past two weekends, hundreds of thousands of players fought their way through the streets of Cairo, the houses of Gibraltar, the rocky slopes of Tajikistan, and the alleys of Brooklyn. But which map from the Battlefield 6 open beta did fans like best? EA decided to ask them themselves.

The most popular beta map

A survey conducted by the official Battlefield X account asked: Where was the best place to fight? The over 10,000 responses provided a very clear picture of the players’ opinions, which you can read here in the Battlefield Bulletin post:

  • 1st place: Siege of Cairo – With 47 percent, the mix of vehicle combat and infantry battles in the streets and houses was the favorite of almost half of the players.
  • 2nd place: Liberation Peak – The only map with jets and helicopters was the favorite of 27 percent of players.
  • 3rd place: Empire State – The pure infantry map was only available on the second weekend, but it was still the favorite of 16 percent of survey participants.
  • 4th place: Iberian Offensive – Bringing up the rear with 11 percent is the combination of streets and a rather open flank on the island of Gibraltar.

The largest beta map

Cairo is not only the winner of this vote, but also one of the largest maps in the beta alongside Liberation Peak. It’s no coincidence that it’s so far ahead.

The community has criticized the absence of really large maps on which the big battles typical of the series can be fought.

According to data miners, however, there is no need to worry. At launch, there will be much more expansive maps that will make Cairo look tiny in comparison.

The Mirak Valley map is also located in Tajikistan and will feature the entire Battlefield 6 arsenal, from infantry to jets.

As things stand at the moment, there will be a total of nine maps of different sizes at launch. You can find an overview of all the maps and the most important information about the battlefields in the link box above. We’ve also compiled a list of six things EA and Dice should work on before the launch of Battlefield 6.
