We’ve summarized all the important information you need to know about the price, rewards, and new progression system of the Battle Pass in BF6 Season 1.

The Battle Pass for Battlefield 6 has finally launched with Season 1. The system introduces a new type of progression to the game, where you can decide for yourself which path to take to unlock content. At the core of the system are Battle Points (BP), which you can earn and invest in various ways.

How the new Battle Pass system works

The grind for rewards is divided into three key steps: Earn Battle Points, unlock new rewards, and choose your own path. The system is designed to give you more control over the order in which you unlock content.

Earn Battle Points

Battle Points are the currency for your progress. You earn these mainly by completing weekly challenges. In addition, your performance in the game is rewarded: the more experience points (XP) you collect in matches, the more additional Battle Points you receive.
Those who have recently completed the free Battle Pass in BF2042 will already be familiar with this system.

Unlocking rewards

Each reward tier in the Battle Pass costs ten Battle Points. Once you have collected enough points, you can activate the next tier and secure the corresponding item for your inventory.

To access all rewards, you must purchase the Premium Battle Pass or Battlefield Pro (already included in the Phantom Edition of BF6). However, there will also be a number of free rewards for all players.

Choose your path

The big new feature is the path system: After completing an introductory path (“Intro Path”), you can choose which direction you want to proceed in next. The Battle Pass is divided into several sections, each consisting of different paths.

Each of these paths contains 22 rewards. To unlock the next section, you must first complete all paths in the current section. There are four main paths in total and a fifth bonus path that only becomes available once you have mastered the other four.

Free, Standard, or Pro? A direct comparison of all three tiers

The most important question for many players is: What do I get for my money? Battlefield 6 offers three tiers with significantly different content.

Tier 1: Without Battle Pass (free)

You can participate in Season 1 without spending a cent. All players have access to the free reward path. This is where you’ll likely find game-relevant content such as new weapons and gadgets to avoid Pay2Win.

Tier 2: The Standard Battle Pass (approx. $10)

For 1,100 Battlefield Coins (equivalent to about $10), you get full access to all reward paths. Here’s what’s included:

  • Access to all free and premium Battle Pass rewards (over 100 items)
  • Some instant unlocks immediately after purchase
  • A permanent bonus of +10 percent on all experience points earned during the season
  • If you play the Free2Play version BF6 Redsec, you can create permanent community servers. BF6 owners can continue to do this without a Battle Pass (as long as the servers are not busy).

Level 3: BF Pro ($25)

This is the complete package for big fans or those with less time. If you have the Phantom Edition, you already have the benefits of BF Pro. It includes everything from the Standard Pass and adds significant bonuses. Here’s what else is included:

  • 25 rank skips: You instantly unlock a large portion of the Battle Pass.
  • Increased XP bonus: Instead of 10 percent, you get a +15 percent bonus on your XP.
  • Exclusive content:  You’ll get exclusive instant unlocks, additional assignments, and a limited-time exclusive bonus path that contains other rewards.
  • Portal Next Features: Only with BF Pro do you get persistent server hosting for Portal mode and can host servers for up to 100 players.
  • Exclusive Radio Station: A cosmetic gimmick that lets you listen to your own radio station in vehicles.
  • More Challenge Updates: You have more opportunities to renew weekly challenges.

If you only want the basic new gameplay content, you don’t have to pay anything. If you value cosmetic rewards for active play, the Standard Pass is the right choice for you. The BF Pro Pack is clearly aimed at hardcore fans and players who want to speed up their progress or absolutely must have all available skins.
