EA has announced the system requirements for Battlefield 6, which will apply at release. Can your computer handle the new shooter?
Battlefield 6 is set to restore the shooter series, which has recently fallen on hard times, to its former glory. The two beta phases in August 2025 have given us reason to hope that it will succeed.
Ahead of the launch on October 10, 2025, Electronic Arts has now released new information and specified the PC system requirements that will be necessary for various resolution and frame rate targets at release.
The EA deal: Background on the new owners
In September 2025, it was announced that EA would be privatized and transferred to an investor consortium for a sum of around €47 billion. The new owners of EA include the Saudi Arabian sovereign wealth fund PIF and Affinity Partners, Jared Kushner’s investment firm. Saudi Arabia is accused of political and human rights abuses, such as the persecution of activists and journalists. There is also deep-rooted discrimination against minorities. Freedom of expression is structurally suppressed. Jared Kushner, Donald Trump’s son-in-law, has repeatedly come under criticism for dubious real estate deals, secret contacts with the Russian government, and allegations of corruption. Kushner also maintains close contact with Saudi Crown Prince and PIF Chairman Mohammed bin Salman.
The beta requirements will be adopted
There will be no changes to the minimum requirements and recommended specs known from the BF6 beta phase. However,
The minimum requirements should be sufficient for 1080p resolution at 30 FPS; the recommended specs, on the other hand, are intended for either 1440p at 60 FPS and high graphics settings or 1080p at 80 FPS and low settings.

BF6 preload is slightly smaller
There is some new information on the subject of required storage space. On both Reddit and the X platform, resourceful users have discovered how much capacity you will need on your hard drive for the upcoming preload on October 3, 2025.
According to this, you can expect a download size of up to 75.96 GB if you want to download all BF6 files.
The main game alone is 48.88 GB; the additional capacity is required for the “Singleplayer (HD)” and “Multiplayer (HD)” packages.
However, given the already announced Day 1 update, it can be assumed that Battlefield 6 will require a little more storage space upon release.
🚨 Battlefield 6 preload goes live October 3
file size: 📥 75.97 GB.

With TPM 2.0 and Secure Boot as mandatory requirements
Electronic Arts also explicitly states that the resolutions and frame rates mentioned are native values – without the use of upscaling methods. Nvidia DLSS 4, AMD FSR, and Intel XeSS will be supported at launch.
Another welcome feature is that Battlefield 6 promises full support for widescreen monitors – in both 21:9 and 32:9 formats.
However, one issue is likely to resurface at launch: the requirement for Secure Boot and TPM 2.0. The developers justify this requirement with anti-cheat measures that must access the feature. Not all of you were happy with this argument. Nevertheless, the pure hardware requirements for a game set in 2025 still seem relatively moderate. Compared to Battlefield 2042, the requirements are only slightly higher, and Battlefield 6 even requires significantly less storage space. The last installment required 100 GB. The SSD requirement, which has been becoming more common in recent games, is also not necessary for Battlefield 6. Although the developers would like to see one installed in your computer, it is not mandatory, as was already the case in the beta.
Now it’s your turn. Is your PC ready for Battlefield 6, or does it need an upgrade first?
