That was quick: the popular Shipment map from Call of Duty is now also playable in Battlefield.

Shipment is back! But wait a minute, this isn’t Call of Duty, this is Battlefield 6, right? Yep, and yet the statement is still true – thanks, of course, to the hard-working hobbyists in Portal, Battlefield’s creative playground.

This time around, the map editor allows so much freedom that a huge variety of new maps are possible. Let’s take a look.

Okay, but why Shipment of all things?

Shipment is one of the most popular and well-known CoD multiplayer maps, which keeps coming back in slightly modified form. And that’s despite the fact that the tiny arena usually turns into a chaotic bloodbath, which our editor-in-chief Dimi rightly describes as “horrible” and “the worst map.”

Of course, its popularity is partly due to the fact that it’s a great place to grind for experience and challenges. But there’s more to it than that. For many, Shipment is also a nostalgic trip back to the glorious CoD past. You can read all about it here in Dimi’s column:

The cargo port was probably easy to recreate in Battlefield Portal. If you want to play it yourself or tinker with it, head over to download it via Portal. And no, the spawns aren’t better placed there than in the original, which is simply due to the layout of the map.

You can now also find Rust as a 1v1 map in Battlefield, as well as Killhouse, all from the same creator, Matavatar. Here he shares a short clip about it:
