Bloober Team sends the Seeker, equipped with teleportation and the Gladius blade weapon, into battle against the Collective—Switch 2 owners will have to wait until 2027.
Bloober Team has confirmed the release date for the Cronos: Lazarus DLC for its survival horror game Cronos: The New Dawn.
The expansion will be released on December 3, 2026, for PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X/S. Switch 2 fans will need to be a little more patient. The launch for the Nintendo console won’t take place until the first quarter of 2027.
Prequel Focus and Story Trailer: How the Seeker Became the Watcher
A newly released story trailer offers insights into the plot of the story DLC—it shows the confrontation between the Pursuer and the Seeker. At the same time, the video footage showcases additional abilities, weapons, and enemies that will define this DLC.
“Players take on the role of the Seeker, an elite agent of the Collective, and uncover the events that led to his transformation into the Warden,” the description states. “The DLC takes place before the original game, sheds light on his past, and reveals new details about the Collective as well as the consequences of defying its authority.”
Teleportation, Decoys, and Gladius: New Survival Tools Against the Pursuer
To survive, you’ll need to use new abilities, among other things. These include teleportation for quick positioning—you’ll also receive a decoy that distracts enemies and temporarily makes the Seeker invisible. Lazarus also introduces the Gladius, a faster and deadlier weapon than the dagger from the main game.
“Standing in the Seeker’s way is the Pursuer, a relentless emissary of the Collective tasked with tracking him down before he can complete a resurrection mission that the organization must never learn about.”
Just a few days ago, Bloober Team released a Halloween update for Cronos: The New Dawn, which includes a photo mode and a jack-o’-lantern skin.
