With the August release just around the corner, developer Frogwares offers a deep look into the Lovecraftian horror and introduces well-known voice actors.

Developer Frogwares has released a new game overview trailer shortly before the release of the survival horror title The Sinking City 2.

The game will be released on August 18, 2026, for PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X/S. Details about the voice cast were also announced alongside the video’s release.

Insights into the overview trailer and gameplay

The new trailer is designed to offer you a guided tour through the world of The Sinking City 2 and provides a closer look at the dark Lovecraftian setting. It also showcases the horrors lurking deep beneath the surface.

“Incidentally, the trailer delves deep into the core gameplay,” it says. “It shows how gripping survival horror and thrilling investigations intertwine. You’ll explore Arkham, uncover dark secrets, and fight for your very survival. The video also takes a closer look at the combat system. It quickly becomes clear: Your resources are incredibly scarce, and ammunition is extremely precious.”

Characters, Voice Actors, and the Lovecraftian Setting

At the center of the action in *The Sinking City 2* are the two characters Calvin Rafferty and Faye Bennett. They are voiced by Andrew Wheildon-Dennis and Gemma Elizabeth Whelan.

Wheildon-Dennis’s previous projects include *Baldur’s Gate 3*, *007 First Light*, and *Blue Prince*. Meanwhile, Whelan provided voice work for Elden Ring, Mass Effect: Andromeda, and Warhammer 40,000: Dawn of War 3. You may also recognize her as Asha Greyjoy from Game of Thrones.

The Sinking City 2 transports you to a Lovecraftian version of 1920s America—more specifically, to the infamous city of Arkham. A supernatural flood has driven away almost all the inhabitants—only the utterly insane remain. The flood leaves nothing but decay and cosmic horrors that now roam the alleys.
