An insider has shared photos of special Nintendo hardware and the matching Pro Controller. A golden Triforce design adorns the devices.
Nintendo apparently plans to celebrate the 40th anniversary of The Legend of Zelda with special editions of the Nintendo Switch 2 and the matching Pro Controller.
Leaked images of these special editions are currently circulating online, published by Necro Felipe, the operator of the well-known Brazilian gaming website Universo Nintendo. According to his sources, the designs are genuine.
Design details for the console and Pro Controller
In the images, you can see a Switch 2 dock with a golden Triforce design adorning one side. The console itself is equipped with black-and-turquoise Joy-Con controllers that also feature Triforce patterns.

The matching “Nintendo Switch 2 Pro Controller: The Legend of Zelda 40th Anniversary Edition” picks up on the black-and-turquoise color scheme. A golden Triforce is prominently displayed in the center, while the shoulder buttons and triggers are finished in brilliant gold.
The packaging for both products also features a previously unseen “Legend of Zelda 40th Anniversary” logo. It features a small Link icon in the classic NES style. This, in turn, could suggest that Nintendo is planning even more products to celebrate the anniversary.

Expected Announcements and a Possible Nintendo Direct
So far, Nintendo has not officially commemorated the 40th anniversary of Zelda. Perhaps they are saving the celebrations for the time around the release of the Switch 2 remake of *The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time*, which is scheduled to come out later this year.
Given this, an upcoming Nintendo Direct presentation focused entirely on Zelda doesn’t seem unlikely. After all, there’s an anniversary to celebrate; we’re still waiting for more details and gameplay footage for the Ocarina remake—and while they’re at it, they might as well release a teaser trailer for the Legend of Zelda movie. There have recently been several casting updates regarding the film adaptation.
