Leonardo, Raphael, and the gang are getting behind the wheel. The final Season Pass content also brings the Pizzafire Van and a New York track to the Sega racing game.
The “Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles” pack for Sega’s racing game Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds is now available.
Among other things, it includes several playable characters as well as a brand-new track.
Unsurprisingly, the new characters who can get behind the wheel are Leonardo, Raphael, Donatello, and Michelangelo.
Vehicles, cosmetic extras, and in-game purchases
The Turtles also bring their “Pizzafire Van” with them, and you can race with them on the new “New York City” track.
In addition, this pack includes various music tracks inspired by the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, as well as six different emotes per character.
If you’ve purchased the Digital Deluxe Edition of Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds, you’ll automatically receive the Turtles Pack via the Season Pass. The Season Pass is also available separately for 29.99 euros and includes additional characters, tracks, and more. If you only want the Turtles DLC, it costs 5.99 euros.
Multiplayer availability, previous DLC packs, and reception
By the way, you can still race on the New York track even if you don’t own the DLC. To do so, however, you’ll need to play a match with other players who have already purchased the DLC.
Sega has previously released add-on packs for Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds featuring Mega Man, Pac-Man, SpongeBob SquarePants, and Minecraft. The Turtles pack joins this lineup of guest racers and is also the final new content from the game’s Season Pass.
Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds was released last year and took a more classic approach compared to Nintendo’s Mario Kart World. In Eurogamer’s review, the title delivered a compelling performance. At the time, I wrote: “A jam-packed and entertaining racing game package that impresses with its content, customization options, and CrossWorlds mechanics.”
