The Rock and his crew (Jack Black, Kevin Hart, Karen Gillian) unwittingly swap the jungle for the real world in the fourth and final *Jumanji* adventure. As video game characters, they’re naturally not very familiar with this world and wreak quite a bit of chaos. Even a few animals end up in our dimension and just stroll through a busy restaurant.

Of course, the typical NPC behavior is also present—such as that specific way supporting characters run in video games. This is immediately commented on in the trailer with “Why are they running like that?” and this quote is repeated multiple times by fans in the comments below the trailer. Maybe you’ll discover even more Easter eggs.

Jumanji: Open World will be released in German theaters on December 23, 2026.In U.S. theaters, the grand finale of the film series won’t hit the big screen until December 25. This means viewers in Germany will be able to watch Jumanji two days earlier.

Incidentally, the choice of release date is quite a risky one. After all, the biggest blockbusters of the year—Dune: Part Three (December 17) and Avengers: Doomsday (December 16)—are both coming out in the same month. It remains to be seen whether Jumanji will still have a chance at the box office.

If you’d like to know which other movies are coming out in the next few months, feel free to check out our overview.
