After several years in Early Access, Valheim is finally celebrating its official release.
Since its Early Access launch in 2021, hardly a day has gone by without the Viking survival gameValheimmaking headlines at least20,000 concurrent players on Steamon Steam. After so many years of success, the full release is finally set to follow, and it comes with a new biome. Additionally, more platforms will be supported.

When is version 1.0 coming out?Valheim will be fully releasedon September 9, 2026for PC, Xbox Series X/S, Xbox One, PlayStation 5, Nintendo Switch 2, Linux, and Mac. Crossplay is supported, so you don’t have to coordinate with your friends about which version to play.
It’s Getting Icy in Valheim
Valheim’s northernmost biome: The update brings a wealth of new content, including thenew biomeDeep North

Lost Civilization: In the seemingly endless white void, you’ll discover that you aren’t the only Vikings stranded there. You’ll find abandoned villages, explore them, and scavenge valuable resources.
New Enemies: What actually happens to trolls when they get too old? As version 1.0 reveals, they migrate to Deep North and become so-calledGammeltrolls
. These are mighty primordial giants, next to whom other inhabitants of Valheim look like dwarves.
Living Underground: While ice, snow, and frostbite await you on the surface, the underground of the Deep North is teeming with life—and even deadlier creatures.
