If you’ve already swept away all the enemies in Crimson Desert and are now bored, the new update gives you another chance to dive in.

InCrimson Desertthere’s plenty to do, but even the most dedicated veterans will eventually run into a problem. Many of your enemies and bosses in Pywel stay dead after you take them down.

Sooner or later, this makes the once-rugged continent seem pretty peaceful toward the end of the game. That might be pretty cool for everyday life, but for adventurers looking for challenges, it’s just boring.A new update is now here to help.

Revenge Against Familiar Foes

Update 1.05.00 brings two important new features:

  • Revenge: Bosses you have already defeated are now available for a rematch. To do this, simply visit the area where you previously fought the boss. There you will find a lantern where you can choose between the “Memory” and “Reminiscence” modes. “Memory” pits you against the boss at its original strength, while in “Reminiscence,” its stats scale with your character’s level. After the rematch, any items you used will be restored.

  • Renewed Sieges: Strongholds with time and condition requirements will be reoccupied with a certain probability, allowing you to sweep them clean once more. In the Gameplay tab of the settings, you can set the frequency of renewed sieges. If you’re not a fan of this, you can completely disable the feature using the “Safe” option.

Both new features are set to be further improved and expanded in future updates. Currently, there are 69 bosses available for the Revenge mode and 23 fortresses and quarries for the repeated blockades. For more information, visitNews tab on Steam.

More New Features

Patch 1.05.00 brings a lot for animal lovers. There are now new, legendary animals you can keep as pets: the Clockwork Eagle and the Hyacinth Macaw. Owners of geese and ducks can now also pick them up, put them down, and pet them—it was about time.

In addition, there are numerous bug fixes, quality-of-life improvements, and new items you can buy and find. If you want to know more, check out the developers’ post on Steam, which we’ve linked above.
