Some people go way too far to get their hands on information about what is arguably the most anticipated game in the world.
We’re all curious about Grand Theft Auto 6. Sure, after all, the latest Rockstar games have set the tone for entire development cycles, and GTA 6 is likely to be the most expensive game ever made. All eyes are eagerly focused on it. It’s hardly surprising that fans are craving every new scrap of information, which the developers are being very tight-lipped about.
For some, however, this impatience is running wild, crossing the boundaries of decency and, in some cases, legality.
“Some would break in”
Time and again, well-known and demonstrably well-informed insiders report stories they’ve heard from Rockstar employees. For example, that there have already been attempts to gather information using drones. Or that people have tried to sneak into Rockstar buildings using fake ID cards.
The rumor that GTA 6 won’t have a physical release at first is also said to be connected to this. That’s according to YouTuber Reece Reilly, who regularly conducts interviews with well-known developers, including those from Rockstar. He posted the following comment on X:
I 100% believe the rumor that GTA 6 won’t have a physical launch. GTA 6 is going to be the biggest launch in entertainment history by a wide margin; nothing will ever come close to it. After multiple delays, each of which caused moderate tremors in the gaming industry, GTA 6 is now definitely set to release on November 19. At least on consoles; a PC release is still a long way off and will likely not happen until sometime in 2027. Of course, we’ll keep you up to date on what Rockstar reveals about its big hope. Completely without drones.
