Freshly unboxed retro consoles always generate enthusiastic reactions in the relevant community, such as a PS2 Aqua Edition, of which there are a maximum of 5,000 copies worldwide.
Not quite as rare, but still wrapped in bubble wrap, is the PS2 in the Grand Turismo 3 bundle, which a player recently showed on Reddit.

The community is collectively reveling in nostalgia, as for many, this PlayStation 2 version was their introduction to console gaming. Accordingly, it is associated with a lot of childhood memories.
This is the version my father bought me back then because it was supposed to be a gift for me, but I couldn’t keep it in my room and had to leave it in the living room so my father could play Gran Turismo 3.

A look at the Console Variations website provides some clarity—at least a little. The photo does not reveal which version of the console it is.
Depending on the version, between an estimated 10,000 (minimum value PAL) and 100,000 (maximum value NTSC) units of the bundle were produced.
What all consoles have in common is that they are black and come with Gran Turismo 3. In Europe, there is also an additional demo disc in the box.
But how much is the OVP console worth now? According to Price Charting, the PS2 in the Gran Turismo bundle in the NTSC version costs $800. In its original packaging, as shown in the photo, this collector’s item costs $1,920.
