Even advanced age doesn’t have to stand in the way of gamers. A streamer proudly reports on his grandmother, who apparently has a talent for shooting.
Nowadays, gamers can be found almost everywhere, regardless of their gender, social group, or age. Streamers such as Shirley Curry, the famous Skyrim grandma, have already shown that older people can also have fun with video games.
Even old age and physical limitations don’t have to be insurmountable obstacles, as the grandmother of a streamer proves.
Better than my team
On Twitter, streamer ZachsMaxed shows a video of his grandmother shooting at red balls in the Aimlabs target practice program. So far, so unspectacular? Considering the circumstances, her performance is actually really impressive.
I don’t know if people will appreciate how genuinely insane this is. At the age of 95, my legally blind grandma with no fps experience placed above 24k other players on spidershot in @aimlab. Not only is she likely the oldest player to ever touch an aim trainer, she is also… pic.twitter.com/rn4t6jJS6n

Not only is the grandmother an impressive 95 years old, she also has severe visual impairment. This means she can hardly see anything in the center of her field of vision and has to rely primarily on her peripheral vision. These are far from ideal conditions for mastering aiming in a shooter game.
Nevertheless, the 95-year-old is impressively good at the game and has achieved a higher score than 24,000 other players.
As ZachsMaxes explains, she is faster than many people who are less than half her age and also have no experience with shooters.
On Twitter, many players respond with admiration and enthusiasm for the grandmother’s achievement, or share their own stories:
Your grandmother is the best!
When are you going to teach her Splitgate? I love this tweet so much, it’s great to see!
I used to play MW 2019 with a friend’s grandmother in a large group, and she was better than many of the people we played against. Some people just get it and don’t let their age be a limiting factor.
Last but not least, there are of course countless people who make the obligatory joke: And that makes your grandmother better than my whole team
.
So who knows, maybe ZachsMaxes’ grandmother will start a shooter career at the age of 95.
In his comments on the tweet, the streamer has already announced that he wants to show her a few games. We probably won’t see her in Team Deathmatch in CoD, but her story proves that it’s never too late to start something new.
