The latest patch for the shooter makes it possible to escape from Tarkov for the first time. Now, the first player has reached this milestone.
Do you know what wasn’t possible in Escape from Tarkov until now? Escaping. Because the game world was incomplete in the form of separate maps, no one could escape from Tarkov.
And now guess what has finally become possible since patch 1.0.0.2: escaping! The first Tarkov player has now achieved this milestone.
Free at last!
On November 15, 2025, after nine years, Escape from Tarkov outgrew Early Access and was released as version 1.0. But that alone was not enough for players to escape from Tarkov. Only the aforementioned patch 1.0.0.2 provided the crucial final piece of the puzzle: the map Terminal
.
Now, of course, the question arises: Who
? The answer: streamer and Tarkov pro Tigz.
After around 150 hours, he is the first person in the world to say bye-bye
to Tarkov, achieving a success that no one can dispute.
You can watch the moment of his escape here. The exciting part starts at 45:11 minutes:
Spoiler warning: Much of the fascination of Tarkov is based on the fact that you have to figure out how to escape for yourself. Tigz’s video contains many spoilers. Please be aware of this before watching.
The community congratulates him
For his world first, Tigz is showered with congratulations from viewers in the YouTube comments—and there are a few jokes too:
Being the first person in the world to escape from Tarkov is pretty damn cool.
I escaped Tarkov by having two children. Thanks for showing me the ending, Tigz.
It’s hilarious that the first person to escape Tarkov got the bad ending – really hardcore.
As far as lore goes, you’re the only one who ever survived in this timeline. Congratulations, Tigz, for being the first.
I got sweaty palms watching it, it was that intense.
10 years for something that less than 0.1% will experience.
One of the comments above already gave it away: Tigz got what is probably the worst of all possible endings in Tarkov. So you might be able to be the first in the world to secure one of the three other endings, but you’ll probably have to hurry. Since the final 1.0 release, an average of 20,000 people have been playing the extraction shooter on Steam.
