Thanks to an ambitious player, the sci-fi sandbox game No Man’s Sky has now produced one of the most iconic Star Wars spaceships.

Over the years, No Man’s Sky has evolved from a release flop to a sci-fi highlight because the developers have brought life to the desolate vastness of the universe with constant free updates.

One of these updates introduced the ship editor, which allows you to build your own spaceships. And that has opened the gates to a galaxy far, far away …

The Star Wars spaceships in No Man’s Sky

It was only a matter of time before such a ship editor would sooner or later produce all kinds of space travel models from pop culture. Now, however, a particularly ambitious player has come along and posted his self-built Imperial Star Destroyer from Star Wars on Reddit – but in No Man’s Sky.

The sheer size of the ship is particularly impressive: according to Ap0llyon, its builder, the Star Destroyer is true to scale and therefore simply gigantic. To be more precise, the ship is so huge that it cannot be controlled at all in third-person perspective because all you can see is the ship itself.

In No Man’s Sky, there is usually a maximum ship size to prevent such a colossus from being created. After all, the Star Destroyer not only amazes people, but also causes major FPS problems. However, the restriction can be easily removed with mods.

The ship is not only stylish on the outside: The Star Destroyer comes with its own hangar, a bridge, a command room, and other details.

But the Star Destroyer isn’t the only impressive Star Wars spaceship flying around in No Man’s Sky. Another player has already built a true-to-scale replica of the Death Star, as you can see above. And then there’s also the Enterprise from Star Trek. Don’t forget the flying pile of junk that consists entirely of space debris!

For another iconic spaceship, however, you don’t have to resort to fan-made constructions: the SSV Normandy from Mass Effect has already appeared officially in No Man’s Sky several times and can be captured for your fleet. Which fan-made constructions would you like to see in No Man’s Sky? Feel free to write your suggestions in the comments!
