Most space games play with pseudo-physics.& nbsp;In The Black from Impeller Studios, featuring former developers behind X-Wing / TIE Fighter and Crysis, takes Newtonian mechanics seriously.
200 years in the future, you fight as a mercenary for megacorporations in the solar system for resources. The core of the game is simulation: you control nuclear-powered rockets that uncompromisingly respect inertia and thrust vectors. This is intended to make the dogfights even more authentic than in Star Citizen.
Early Access for In The Black will start in late 2025 or early 2026 and is expected to last at least a year. It will include five customizable space fighters in different classes, a contract mode with single-player missions, and 5v5 multiplayer in three game modes.
