In comparison, the Steam Deck looks tiny: the new handheld has a gigantic 3D display and detachable controllers like the Switch 2.

A new handheld aims to fulfill all dreams and offer 3D without glasses, among other things.

The handheld market has experienced a real boom in recent years. While there are many “classic” models, Chinese manufacturers in particular are also experimenting with alternative concepts. A new XXL handheld, for example, offers 3D without glasses and is also designed to function as a laptop.

The device in question is the 3D One from Chinese manufacturer  Abxylute. The crowdfunding campaign for the handheld device is set to begin on Kickstarter on November 13, 2025. The early bird price is $1,499, and the handheld device will later cost $1,700.

Here’s what the device looks like in the trailer:

What the handheld offers: At first glance, the Abxylute 3D One looks like a Steam Deck with an extended bottom. The device is actually quite large and features a 10.95-inch LCD display, for example.

The Steam Deck’s display measures only about 7.4 inches, while the Switch 2’s is 7.9 inches. But size isn’t the only special feature. As the name suggests, the 3D One is supposed to offer 3D without glasses. Just like the 3DS used to, only (hopefully) much better.

The 3D effect is not limited to games. Movies and videos can also be displayed in 3D without any additional editing. In general, the 3D One could also be called an all-in-one device.

As with the Switch 2, the two handles can be removed and plugged together to form a controller. The device can then also be used as a tablet or, together with a mouse and keyboard, as a laptop.

Like many other manufacturers, Abxylute relies on Windows 11, which could actually make the 3D One quite useful in this function. Thanks to the Intel Core Ultra 258V Lunar Lake with 32 GB LPDDR5X RAM and a 1 TB SSD, it should also offer sufficient power. Whether the device delivers what it promises and whether the 3D effect is more than just marketing will only become clear once the Kickstarter campaign is successful and the first models actually reach customers.
