Resourceful fans have noticed that the first official store listings for GTA 6 are quietly going online. The PlayStation Store even reveals a specific launch time.

It seems that GTA fans won’t have to wait much longer: The first listings in online stores indicate that you will soon be able to officially pre-order the highly anticipated next installment of the acclaimed open-world series.

But that’s not the only good news: apparently, there’s even a specific release time already.

What happened?

Attentive fans on the internet have noticed that something is going on on the store pages related to GTA 6. The store listing for GTA 6 on the PlayStation Store was recently changed, the official homepage for the game was updated, and after a suspiciously long absence, the game is now officially listed on the Xbox Store.

For fans, this suggests that something big is about to happen with regard to GTA 6. While some are already anticipating a new trailer, the much more likely solution is that the pre-order function will be activated in individual stores in the coming days.

To do this, some updates and current information must first be entered in the background of the pages. One piece of information is likely to be of particular interest to fans: it appears that the PlayStation Store has been revealing the exact release date of GTA 6 since May.

The corresponding store entry reads: Release date: May 26, 2026, 12:00 a.m. CEST, or 4:00 p.m. in the American Pacific Time Zone, as revealed by a screenshot posted by an American user on Twitter:

Since different time zones are already listed here, it can be assumed that these are real times and not placeholders.

Of course, none of this has been officially confirmed yet. However, we strongly suspect that we will find out what the recent store changes relating to GTA 6 are all about in the next few days. Perhaps even as early as November 6, as that is when publisher Take-Two has scheduled its next investor call. It is considered almost certain that GTA will be discussed during this call.

Who knows, maybe Rockstar will really treat us to a new trailer this year. In the link box above, you can find more current news about the next GTA installment.
