What is The Front?  If you’re into hardcore end-time survival action in an open-world sandbox with exciting battles against disgusting mutants and zombies, you’re sure to have fun with The Front. Especially when you get a complex and fun vehicle system that lets you build your own killer cars to suit your taste.

With version 1.0 of The Front, the game is finally available worldwide on Steam. To celebrate the launch, The Front is offering a 15% discount for two weeks, so it’s worth buying the game now.

Developer Samar Studio has completely revamped the PvE gameplay and creative vehicle building mode in the release version, now offering a more intense, strategic, and immersive post-apocalyptic survival experience.

Major Update 1.0: Horde Mode and More Killer Vehicles!

The 1.0 update improves everything that makes The Front great: military sandbox gameplay with tactical depth and brutal vehicle combat!

1. Horde Missions: Drive, Survive, and Crush!

The centerpiece of this major update is the brand-new Zombie Horde Dungeon, which will test your building skills and tactical prowess in large-scale battles involving vehicles.

  • Unstoppable Power: Wreak massive destruction by steering heavily armored vehicles through dense zombie hordes, crushing obstacles and enemies alike.
  • Smarter enemies: The new “mutated” enemy AI allows zombies to jump onto vehicles and attack them, forcing you to stay mobile and use your defenses optimally.
  • Boss battles: Two new endgame bosses await you in these missions, offering rare rewards and high-quality equipment for those who survive the onslaught.

2. Advanced Weapons and Vehicle Technology

The game’s signature vehicle assembly system has received its biggest upgrade yet, giving you additional freedom in designing your personal vehicle and more tactical variety.

  • New Special Weapons: Flamethrowers, poison launchers, and electric weapons open up new possibilities for controlling the battlefield with area attacks and sustained damage.
  • Utility meets firepower: Attachments such as saw blades, drills, and harvesters transform vehicles into hybrid machines that can both gather resources and destroy enemies.
  • Teamwork and customization: The assembly platform now supports team-based vehicle construction, allowing multiple players to design and build vehicles together. A new paint system lets you customize the appearance of your vehicles.

Core Gameplay: Survive, Build, and Reclaim the Wasteland

Beyond the new update, The Front continues to offer the comprehensive survival experience that has made the game so popular: a combination of sandbox freedom, strategic combat, and immersive world design in a post-apocalyptic setting.

  • Exploration and progression: As survivors of the fallen resistance, you explore ruins, gather resources, and advance technologically from primitive tools to futuristic military technology.
  • Base Building and Defense: Hundreds of modular structures allow for creative building anywhere on the map. Advanced traps and automated defense systems help fend off elite mutants, such as bombers and assassins.
  • Faction warfare: The battlefield brings together players, raiders, and Imperial forces in large-scale PvP and PvE combat. A new NPC outpost system provides dynamic skirmishes and battles for solo and team players.
