Back to the desert – a new chapter begins
Fans of Assassin’s Creed Mirage have something to look forward to: Ubisoft is working on fresh story content that continues Basim’s adventures in the 9th century. The upcoming DLC, which according to leaks is called “Valley of Memory,” takes us to al-ʿUla in present-day Saudi Arabia. The region is not only historically significant, but also spectacular in terms of landscape – with rock formations, sand deserts, and the archaeological site of Mada’in Salih, which has already been seen in a leak.
Ubisoft is still officially silent about specific details of the plot. But the telling name of the DLC suggests that Basim will have to confront his past here. He already spoke of his father in Assassin’s Creed Valhalla, so it’s quite possible that this relationship will play a major role in the new chapter.
”Nehal is back!” – a return that has fans excited
One detail that has caused quite a stir on social media is that Nehal, Basim’s close confidante from Mirage, appears to play an important role in the DLC. Her voice actress has already hinted that she will be reprising the role – a clear indication of her comeback for many players.
Nehal might return in the new DLC of Assassin’s Creed Mirage. Nehal’s voice actor, Jan Kamar, shared this story on her Instagram. She might reprise her role as Nehal. 🔥#AssassinsCreedMirage pic.twitter.com/eJNa0F5DcP

It remains unclear when the story is set. Some fans speculate that the DLC, like The Fate of Atlantis in Odyssey. Others assume that it takes place before the final events of Mirage, as Nehal’s return would otherwise be difficult to explain.
Either way, “Valley of Memory” is a hot topic of conversation. The fact that Ubisoft initially tried to obscure the name in a TikTok video, but the community managed to reconstruct it anyway, is further fueling the anticipation. One thing is clear: Basim’s journey is not over yet – and the next chapter promises to delve deeper into his inner world than ever before.
