With its first trailer, Battlefield 6 was actually just announcing another event. But thanks to a mistake by the publisher, we now also know the release date of the shooter.
Battlefield 6 has been no secret for a long time. Under the name Battlefield Labs, the developers have been conducting closed tests on their next shooter for months, with entire gameplay videos leaking out repeatedly. EA itself also provided information about its plans for the next Battlefield, but without officially revealing the game.
But now the time has come: Battlefield 6 has been announced with a first trailer and the release date has also been revealed. Wait, what? There was no sign of that! In fact, the publisher accidentally left a pretty clear hint about the release.
When will Battlefield 6 be released?
Battlefield 6 will probably be released on October 11, 2025. As noticed by Insider Gaming noticed, a link in the trailer led to an EA website featuring special pre-order offers.
According to the page, which has since been taken down, these offers are valid until October 10. And since pre-order bonuses can generally be obtained before release, EA is probably planning a release date of October 11.
How reliable is the leaked date?
Since the information comes from an official website, it is definitely authentic. Nevertheless, the publisher may postpone the release again, especially before an official announcement of the release date. It is also possible that the information visible on the accidentally accessible page was already out of date yesterday and that EA is already planning a different date.
So October 11, 2025 is not yet certain as the release date. However, there has been speculation about a release in fall 2025 for months. The predecessors were also released at similar times:
- Battlefield 2042: November 19, 2021
- Battlefield V: November 20, 2018
- Battlefield 1: October 21, 2016
We’ll definitely find out more about Battlefield 6 on the evening of July 31. A big event is planned to showcase the shooter’s multiplayer mode. The release date may also be officially announced then.
This will be followed by an open beta, for which EA has not yet revealed a date. However, fans have dug deeper and found out that the test phase may start as early as August 4.
